Terms and Conditions
- Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing any water well project, mosque project, or related service from African Well, the customer agrees to these Terms and Conditions. - Cancellation and Refund Policy
Customers may cancel their order and receive a full refund within fourteen (14) days of purchase, provided that construction, procurement, drilling, site preparation, or any related project activities have not commenced.
No reason is required for cancellation during this period.
If project activities have commenced before the fourteen (14) day period expires, the order becomes non-refundable.
Once construction, drilling, procurement of materials, site preparation, or any related project activities have begun, all payments become non-refundable.
Customers may submit cancellation requests by contacting African Well through the contact information provided on our website.
- Warranty
African Well provides a limited warranty of two (2) years from the date of project completion.
During this period, if a defect arises due to workmanship or installation performed by African Well or its approved contractors, we will arrange for inspection and reasonable corrective action.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, vandalism, theft, accidents, natural disasters, flooding, earthquakes, conflict, improper maintenance, unauthorized modifications, or normal wear and tear.
- Expected Lifespan
African Well guarantees that properly completed hand pump water wells will remain operational for a minimum period of three (3) years from the completion date, provided they are used under normal conditions and receive reasonable care.
Many wells may remain operational for significantly longer periods. However, environmental conditions, groundwater changes, maintenance practices, usage levels, weather conditions, and other factors beyond our control may affect the actual lifespan of a well.
For this reason, African Well does not guarantee operation beyond the three-year guaranteed period.
- Groundwater Availability and Water Quality
African Well makes reasonable efforts to construct functional water wells based on local conditions and available information at the time of construction.
However, groundwater levels, water quantity, water quality, seasonal fluctuations, drought conditions, environmental changes, geological conditions, contamination, and other natural factors are beyond our control.
Accordingly, African Well cannot guarantee the long-term quantity, quality, availability, or sustainability of groundwater after project completion.
- Maintenance
Routine maintenance may be required throughout the life of a water well.
African Well may provide maintenance assistance during the warranty period where applicable.
After the warranty period expires, ongoing maintenance, repairs, replacement parts, and operation become the responsibility of the local community, property owner, or project beneficiary.
Customers may request maintenance assistance after the warranty period. African Well will make reasonable efforts to determine whether such maintenance can be arranged. Any post-warranty maintenance, repairs, travel expenses, replacement parts, or related services will be subject to separate availability, approval, and pricing at the time of the request.
- Construction Delays and Estimated Timelines
All project timelines provided by African Well are estimates only and are not guaranteed completion dates.
Construction schedules may be affected by weather conditions, government approvals, transportation disruptions, material shortages, labor availability, site accessibility, natural disasters, political conditions, security concerns, local regulations, contractor availability, remote location access, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Actual completion dates may differ from estimated timelines provided at the time of purchase.
African Well shall not be liable for delays resulting from such circumstances and shall make reasonable efforts to keep customers informed of significant delays when possible.
- Project Modifications
Ground conditions, water availability, geological factors, and local circumstances may require modifications to the original project plan.
African Well reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments necessary to complete the project successfully while maintaining the intended purpose of the project.
- Documentation
African Well will make reasonable efforts to provide project documentation, which may include photographs, videos, GPS coordinates, completion reports, or other evidence of completion.
The format, quantity, and timing of documentation may vary depending on project location, local conditions, internet availability, and operational circumstances.

Payments made to African Well are payments for services and construction projects and are not charitable donations.

- Force Majeure
